少し前にあった、学期末試験。
そのテストが返却されています。
今回は、その問題や、試験前に復習でやった問題を、いくつかご紹介したいと思います。
英語で出題される数学問題。
簡単？それとも、難しい？
Year7の数学Mathの問題
日本でいうところの中学1年生にあたる、Year７からの数学の問題です。
テスト問題を参考に、一部数字などを変えています。

The temperature at noon on Sunday was 3℃.
At dawn on Monday the temperature decrease by 8℃.
What is the temperature at dawn on Monday?

さいごに
数学としての内容は、日本の中学生よりも簡単ではないでしょうか？
英単語を知っていれば、問題ないかな・・・と思います。
知らない英単語がでてきても、
「もしや、こういうことを質問されているのかしら？」と推測できれば、
数学は、点数をとることも可能ではないでしょうか？
わが子にとっては、図形の単語を覚えるのが、どうも苦手なようです。
私にとっても、なじみのない単語ばかり・・・。
日本の中学でも、
数年後、数学も英語で習うようになれば、
これらの単語を覚えていく必要が出てくるのかもしれませんね。
ちなみに、本当の期末試験は、これらの問題含め、
全36問を80分の試験時間で行っていました。
